Delta Gamma

Letter from Recruitment Chair

Welcome to Delta Gamma!

First, we wanted to congratulate you on your acceptance into the University of North Florida. This is such an exciting time and we know it may even feel a little overwhelming. We are so excited that you are interested in going through the formal Recruitment process at the University of North Florida. Greek Life has endless opportunities for fostering friendships, academic support, leadership positions, and unforgettable memories. Joining Delta Gamma was one of the greatest choices we have made in our collegiate years and continues to be our source of support, motivation, and strength. Finding a place that truly feels like home seems scary, but once you know, you know. Delta Gamma is our home. Our sisters always strive to be better friends, students, and women on our campus and in our community.

Here at the University of North Florida we pride ourselves in our dedication to campus involvement, academic excellence, and outstanding character. Delta Gamma's are committed to upholding the values that our organization was founded upon in 1873. Our dedication to lifelong and deep sisterhood is what makes us unique from other Greek organizations. As a Delta Gamma, you will leave college with a sense of yourself, a desire for excellence, and unforgettable memories.

Delta Gamma has given us confidence and sisters who are a constant support system. Whether we're cheering on our Ospreys, studying, or volunteering with the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind we can always count on our sisters to be there. Delta Gamma is a sisterhood so strong that we cannot possibly put it into words.  We are constantly working hard to live up to our motto: “Do Good.” Delta Gamma actively works to support her philanthropy Service for Sight by hosting a wide range of events such as Anchor Splash®, DG Dodgeball, and other Service for Sight awareness events around our community. This year we even had the opportunity to sponsor two guide dogs and their training through Guide Dogs of America and Southeastern Guide Dogs. We are very excited to show you more about the chapter we love so much!

We encourage each of you to find your own home here at the University of North Florida. As you go through the Recruitment process our greatest advice for you is to keep your heart and your mind open. If you trust the process then you can certainly find what anchors you, too!

Sincerely,

Maggie Bell
